National Rule Allowances

AAU follows the rules of the sport set forth by the National Governing Body (USA Gymnastics) with these approved program allowances. *Refer to district modifications for local events.

AAU Special Stars

Program for athletes with physical or intellectual disabilities. This program closely follows Special Olympics level structure to allow athletes to easily participate in multiple organizations without having to adjust levels and rules.

District Rule Modifications

NC AAU offers the following levels of competition: AAU Copper, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Sapphire, Open Optional & Level 6-10.

NC AAU follows the National AAU Rule Allowances.
